LAHORE: Shaheen Afridi, the country’s frontline pace bowler is in the headlines these days for wrong reasons and may face the brunt for his indisciplined behavior . Accprding to sources the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is mulling an option not to cinsider him for the two-test-match home series against Bangladesh next month.

Accoprding to sources Shaheen had a hot interaction with Mohammad Yousuf on England tour during a training session in Headingley.

Sources said Yousuf, also a national selctor, pointed out to him that he was bowling no balls Shah replied to let him do what he is doing and he should mind his own business.

Sources said that Yousuf told him that being a coach it is his duty to point to him such issues.

The team senior manager Wahab Riaz also reprimanded Afridi for his behavior with the former batting guru. However sources said that Shaheen apologized to Yousuf and so the matter was buried on the spot.

Sources said that this was the only bad incident which happened and they are not aware of any other such matters of indiscipline any more.

Sources said that the team management did not report this to the PCB because they had resolved the matter on the spot and there was no need to report it to the Board.

Sources said that the Board is investigating various matters and there are likely chances that a few major players, also including Afridi, may be rested for the home series against Bangladesh. The Board plans to give chance to the domestic cricket performers in the series.

This correspondent understands that the Board is also not happy with groups in the team which damaged the country’s cause in the ICC World Cup in the US recently.
