Pakistan face Iran in Asian Games kabaddi opener

LAHORE: Pakistan will begin their men’s kabaddi journey in the 19th Asian Games on Monday (today) when they take on defending champions Iran in their Group B opener at the Xiaoshan Guali Sports Centre in Hangzhou.
The game will begin at 11am PST.
Pakistan had finished with a bronze medal in the last Asian Games held in Indonesia in 2018.
Pakistan this time have trained well. The team underwent two-week training in Iran and was then sent to China for a few days training.
Malaysia and last Asian Games runners-up South Korea are the other teams in Pakistan’s group.
Meanwhile Group A carries India, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Bangladesh and Thailand.
The top two teams from each pool will make it to the semi-finals which will be held on October 6 with the final to be conducted on October 7.
