LAHORE: Islamabad United have completed their direct signing process for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), securing New Zealand international batter Devon Conway as their latest overseas recruit, the franchise said.
The three-time PSL champions added Conway to their squad as they look to further strengthen their batting lineup ahead of the upcoming season. The left-handed top-order batsman will be featuring in the Pakistan Super League for the first time in his career.
Islamabad United, the most successful franchise in PSL history, said Conway is eager to join the squad and excited about representing the team in the league. The franchise highlighted the player’s enthusiasm and readiness to make an impact in his debut PSL campaign.
Conway, who has established himself as a key performer for New Zealand across formats, expressed his anticipation ahead of the tournament.
“This will be my first PSL season and I am really looking forward to being a part of it,” Conway said.
The signing marks the conclusion of Islamabad United’s direct signings for PSL 11 as preparations continue for the next edition of Pakistan’s premier T20 competition.
