KARACHI: Pakistani shooter Gulfam Joseph on Saturday qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, thus becoming the first athlete who has made it to the world’s most prestigious event so far.
Joseph, who made a place in top six in the World Championship final in Egypt in the 10m air pistol competition, did the job for the country which expects some more shooters to follow Joseph as the country has an immense talent in the sport.
National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) have congratulated Gulfam for making a place directly in the Paris Olympics. Gulfam also became the first Pakistani shooter who qualified for the finals of the global event.
