Sybil clears the first hurdle enrout World Games 2025

LAHORE: Pakistani powerlifter Sybil Sohail has cleared the first hurdle enrout the World Games 2025 after finishing seventh in the Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship in Johar Bahru, Malaysia.
A top official of the Pakistan Powerlifting Federation told The News that Sybil competed in the 47kg open category and finished seventh and so qualified for the World Games 2025 which will be held in China.
He said that top seven out of 11 competitors competed in her weight qualified for the World Games 2025.
The official said that she was also awarded honourary silver medal.
Meanwhile Arfa Zahoor finished with a bronze in the 47kg junior category, Maha Tahir ended with a bronze in the 69 kg junior category while in Masters category Mrs Sana Nabeel claimed silver medal. Mustafa Faran Baig claimed fifth position in the 105kg junior category.
Dr Adnan Abdul Jabbar, who is also a professor at the Punjab University, was accompanying the side as coach.
