South Africa women Under-19 team to tour Pakistan

LAHORE: South Africa’s Women’s Under-19 cricket team will undertake its maiden tour of Pakistan next month for a five-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan Women U19, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Friday.
The series, scheduled to be played at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium from July 14 to July 24, forms part of both teams’ preparations for major age-group tournaments on the international calendar, including the ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup later this year and the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in early 2027.
South Africa’s squad is due to arrive in Karachi on July 10 and will participate in three days of training sessions from July 11 to July 13 before the opening match on July 14.
The remaining fixtures are scheduled for July 17, July 19, July 22 and July 24, with all matches to be played at the same venue. Match timings will be announced at a later date.
The tour marks a significant milestone in the growing cricketing ties between Pakistan and South Africa at the women’s youth level, with the visitors set to experience playing conditions in Pakistan for the first time.
Pakistan Women U19 head into the series on the back of a successful tour of Bangladesh, where they secured a 3-2 victory in a five-match T20 series earlier this year. The hosts will look to build on that momentum as they continue preparations for a busy international schedule.
The PCB’s Women’s Cricket Department has recently conducted a series of development and training camps in Karachi for emerging U19 players, aiming to strengthen the talent pipeline ahead of upcoming regional and global competitions.
The National Bank Stadium, one of Pakistan’s premier cricket venues, will host all five matches as well as the pre-series training sessions for both teams.
Series Schedule (all matches at National Bank Stadium, Karachi):
July 10 – South Africa Women U19 arrive in Karachi
July 11-13 – Training sessions
July 14 – First T20
July 17 – Second T20
July 19 – Third T20
July 22 – Fourth T20
July 24 – Fifth T20
