Pakistan’s likely World Cup squad

LAHORE: Haris Rauf, battling fitness issues for the last few months, is more likely to be included in the 15-man Pakistan World Cup squad which will be formally announced after the Pakistan-England game on May 22 at Edgebaston.
According to sources besides Haris Babar Azam (c), Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Usman Khan, Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Saim Ayub, Iftikhar Ahmed, Abrar Ahmed, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Naseem Shah, Abbas Afridi will be part of the final 15.
Irfan Khan Niazi, who also missed two matches against New Zealand due to injury, Hasan Ali and Agha Salman will be traveling reserves.
After playing a series of four matches against England Pakistan will be starting their World Cup journey against the US in their Group A on June 6 in Dallas.
It will be followed by their most vital clash against India on June 6 in New York. Canada and Ireland are the other teams in Pakistan’s group.
