Pakistan to start preparation for New Zealand ODI series

LAHORE: As many as nine players will assemble in Lahore on Wednesday to start their preparation for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand at the LCCA Ground in Lahore.
These players include: Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Abdullah Shafique, Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Tayyab Tahir, Faheem Ashraf, Akif Javed, Mohammad Wasim Junior and Naseem Shah.
The training will last for three days until March 21. The players will leave for New Zealand in the wee hours of March 23.
They will be joined in New Zealand by Irfan Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Khushdil Shah, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Ali and Sufyan Muqeem. These players are already in New Zealand playing the five-match T20 series.
Pakistan have already lost their initial two matches held in Christchurch and Dunedin.
One wicketkeeper from the T20 squad will be added to the ODI squad.
Pakistan will begin their ODI series with their opener on March 29 at Napier. This will be followed by their show on Hamilton on April 2 with the third and final game to be held on April 5 in Mount Maunganui.
