GALLE: Pakistan downed Sri Lanka by four wickets in their first test of the two Test-match series here at the Galle International Stadium which propelled them to join India on the top of the points table at the newly-started World Test Championship cycle.
Chasing a 131 was just a formality and Pakistan achieved the target with a fifty from Imam-ul-Haq on Thursday (today).
The outcome enabled Pakistan to secure a hundred percent points like India in their first Test of the two-year new cycle of the global test event.
India faced defeat at the hands of Australia last month in the final of the World Test Championship.
