Pakistan hold Maldives to reach semis in Under-19 SAFF Cup

LAHORE: Late goal from Shah Jehan on Saturday enabled Pakistan to hold Maldives to a 1-1 draw and also qualified for the semi-finals of the Under-19 SAFF Championship at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu.
Maldives got a solid start when they struck in the 39th minute through Shanan Rasheed who engineered a fine goal.
At half time Maldives were leading 1-0. In the second half tight game was witnessed with either sides managing a few solid chances but failed to avail.
It was Shah Jehan who did the job for the Green-shirts when he hit an equalizer six minutes from time to help his side reach the semi-finals.
Pakistan had beaten Nepal 1-0 in their opener and they now top Group A with four points.
