Pakistan go 3-1 down to Malaysia in Asian Champions Trophy

CHENNAI: Pakistan on Thursday were off to a disappointing start when they were conquered by Malaysia 3-1 in their opener of the Asian Champions Trophy here.
In the first two quarters Pakistan displayed fine skills and failed to prevent Malaysia from making inroads as they were leading 2-0 at half time.
Faisal Saari and Farhan Sarri partnered twice to provide a 2-0 lead to Malaysia. Faisal scored the first goal with a superb assist from Farhan in second quarter.
Soon after the first goal the duo went on to score another goal.
Faisal constructed another goal for Malaysia as Silverius Shello made the most of the pass and netted the ball successfully. 3-0 up Malaysia ruled the game thereafter and started their Asian event’s campaign on a winning note.
Abdul Rehman netted the only goal for Pakistan in the 55th minute.
