Pakistan down India in Asian Junior Handball

By our correspondent

BAHRAIN: Pakistan did a fine job to defeat India in their third group match of the 17th Asian Junior Handball Championship in Bahrain on Tuesday.

The eventual score remained 36-23 in favour of the Green-shirts. Pakistan, earlier, lost to Bahrain 26-51 and Japan 21-47. Pakistan will now face Iran or Saudi Arabia on July 22. The last game will be played on July 23.

“This is the first time we are featuring in the Asian Indoor handball. We have no facilities of flooring at home and the way our team delivered in Bahrain is quite satisfactory,” Pakistan Handball Federation (PHF) president Mohammad Shafiq told this correspondent
