LAHORE: Christopher Mark Taylor, a 45-year-old umpire from Jamaica, will officiate three matches in the ongoing President’s Trophy Grade-I 2025-26 under the International Cricket Council’s Umpire Exchange Programme, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Monday.
Taylor will make his first appearance in the tournament when Ghani Glass face Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) at the National Bank Stadium from Wednesday (tomorrow). He will also serve as a field umpire in the Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) versus SNGPL match at the KCCA Stadium starting January27 before officiating the Sahir Associates against Pakistan Television (PTV) fixture at the National Bank Stadium from February 2.
The Jamaican official brings considerable experience, having stood in five women’s one-day internationals and three women’s T20 internationals. He has also officiated in 41 first-class matches, 56 List-A games and 53 T20 fixtures across domestic competitions. His most recent assignment was in the West Indies’ domestic 50-over tournament in November 2025.
Under the ICC exchange programme, Taylor is expected not only to broaden his own experience by officiating overseas but also to share insights from the West Indies domestic circuit with local umpires, contributing to skills development and knowledge transfer within Pakistan’s officiating community.
