LAHORE: The vice-president of International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Jack Huang has congratulated Pakistan’s premier eventer Usman Khan for qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“Congratulations Usman on obtaining your MER for Paris Olympics. It’s a great achievement and I look forward to seeing you in Versailles,” Jack wrote to Usman.
Usman on Sunday blasted his way into the Paris Olympics after claiming MER for Paris Games in an event in Ireland.
This is the second time that Usman qualified for the Olympics. He had also qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in 2019 but due to the death of his horse Azad Kashmir he had to go for revised qualification but unfortunately met with a fatal accident just before finish-line in the Olympics Qualifiers in Australia in 2021. As a result he himself got critically injured and lost his horse Kasheer who died on the spot.
