LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars South Africa-born Namibia’s all-rounder David Wiese has said that being defending champions there will be pressure on them but every effort would be made to play good cricket.
Wiese said that he is excited to play for Lahore Qalandars as usual.
“I am very much excited to represent Lahore Qalandars as usual. Lahore Qalandars had given me chance a few years ago when I was seen nowhere and it’s a big honour for me,” Wiese said.
He said that every season is new and he is looking for the event.
Appreciating Shaheen Afridi’s captaincy Wiese said that he is a brilliant captain.
“He is fantastic captain and he is learning with the passage of time. He is also focussing on his batting,” Wiese said.
He said that in the absence of the world’s top leggie Rashid Khan it’s a great opportunity for the other bowlers to express themselves and deliver.
It is pertinent to mention here that David Wiese has been associated with Lahore Qalandars for the last six seasons.
