Aqeel Khan falters at first hurdle in Asian Games tennis

LAHORE: Pakistan’s seasoned player Aqeel Khan went down to Sultanov Khumoyun of Uzbekistan 2-0 in the men’s singles round one of the tennis event of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Sunday.
The set score was 6-0, 6-1.
In the mixed doubles round one Pakistan beat Mongolia 6-0, 6-1.
Meanwhile Pakistan did a fine job in women’s singles when Sarah Ibrahim Khan and Ushna Sohail downed their respective rivals Hind Almudahka of Qatar and A Sumaya 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.
