Pakistan Under-19 to tour England for bilateral series in September

LAHORE: The Asian champions Pakistan Under-19 will travel to England this September for a multi-format bilateral series featuring a four-day match and four one-day fixtures, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced.
The developmental tour, scheduled from September 2 to September 16, aims to provide vital exposure to Pakistan’s rising talents against top-tier international opposition in English conditions.
The tour will commence with the sole four-day red-ball match, scheduled from September 2-5 at the picturesque Arundel Castle Cricket Club ground.
Arundel will also play host to the limited-overs series opener on Wednesday, September 9. The action will then move to Guildford for the second one-day match on Saturday, September 12.
The final leg of the series will see the teams clash in back-to-back one-day fixtures at Wormsley on September 14 and September 16.
“This tour is part of our strategic initiative to provide robust pathways and competitive opportunities for our youth cricketers,” a source in the PCB said.
“Playing in England will test their skills in unfamiliar conditions and accelerate their transition to senior cricket.”
The Pakistan youth side enters the series on the back of an exceptional run of form in recent months.
On December 21, 2025, Pakistan clinched the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup trophy in Dubai after a dominant 191-run victory over arch-rivals India in the final.
They carried that momentum into January 2026, winning a youth tri-series in Zimbabwe that also featured Afghanistan. More recently, Pakistan featured in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup hosted across Zimbabwe and Namibia, where they registered three victories from five matches.
The tour represents a continuation of competitive bilateral youth cricket between the two nations, offering England’s prospects a stern test against the reigning kings of Asian youth cricket.
Tour Schedule:
Sept. 2-5: Four-Day match – Arundel
Sept. 9: First One-Day – Arundel
Sept. 12: Second One-Day – Guildford
Sept. 14: Third One-Day – Wormsley
Sept. 16: Fourth One-Day – Wormsley
