LAHORE: According to the schedule released by the International Hockey Federation, the Olympic qualifying rounds will be played from January 15 to 21 in Oman. Pakistan hockey team will participate in the said event.
Apart from Pakistan, teams from England, Germany, New Zealand, Malaysia, Canada, Chile and China will participate in this event. The teams involved in the event held in Oman have been divided into two pools. Pool A includes teams from England, Malaysia, Pakistan and China while Pool B includes teams from Germany, New Zealand, Canada and Chile. FIH has organized the Olympic qualifying round events by organizing pools in different countries. Pakistan has been placed in Pool B. The top three teams from each event will qualify for Olympic qualification.
