Karachi Kings sign Phil Simmons as head coach

LAHORE: Karachi Kings have appointed former West Indies all-rounder Phil Simmons as their new head coach for the ninth edition of the HBL PSL.
He replaced South Africa’s former all-rounder Johan Botha who failed to get the best out of the Kings squad last season when his brigade won just three matches out of ten they played finishing fifth in the six-team event.
Simmons today arrived here at Lahore to become part of the Kings squad which will be choosing the players in the draft scheduled for today.
