Pakistan beat Oman 5-2; to play for fifth place

JAKARTA: Rizwan Ali hit double as Pakistan defeated Oman 5-2 in their 5-8th place game of the Hockey Asia Cup here on Saturday.

Pakistan will now play their fifth place show on June 1.

Oman went ahead through Al-Farari in the 11th minute. Rana Waheed equalised the score for Pakistan in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Ghazanfar Ali struck to put Pakistan ahead. In the 29th and 30th minute Rizwan hit two back-to-back goals through short corners t further inflated the lead. In the 32nd minute Moeen Shakeel hit the fifth goal for the Green-shirts which were now 5-1 up. In the 44th minute Almeeni struck the second goal for Oman.
