KARACHI: Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam has been named as ICC player of the month for his super knocks against Australia both in the Test series and one-day series which Pakistan hosted recently.
Babar’s super knock of 196 in the second Test at Karachi which salvaged an eventual draw and then his excellent hundred in the second ODI in Lahore helped Pakistan chase a record 349-run target which also helped the hosts level the series were some of the highlights of his excellent batting exploits during the series during which he remained awfully consistent and has scored runs in almost every innings he played. Babar was in sheer form in the series and Australia’s players also lauded him for his amazing ability to score with fine consistency.
