Pakistan to face Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series
The series matches will be held on January 7,9 and 11 at Dambullah

LAHORE: Following a busy few months during which Pakistan played both away and at home to prepare for the ICC T20 World Cup the Green-shirts next assignment is their tour of Sri Lanka early January for a three-match T20I series, which will help them a great deal to get a taste of the Sri Lanka’s conditions where they will play their World Cup matches.
Pakistan will land in Dambullah where the series matches are scheduled to be held on January 7, 9 and 11, an opportunity for the Salman Ali Agha side to click in the target conditions which will give a boost to their morale before the mega event in February-March.
Besides playing at home and away against Bangladesh, Pakistan also played matches against West Indies at the latter’s backyard, featured in a couple of Tri-Series, including the recent one at home also involving Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, Asia Cup besides hosting South Africa.
This series of events might have given enough confidence and exposure to the national brigade which is giving final touches to their preparation for the World Cup.
After playing a series against Sri Lanka in Dambulla Pakistan will return to host Australia in the end of January for a three-match T20I series before going back to Sri Lanka for the World Cup.
Pakistan have been placed in Group A alongside India, Namibia, USA and Netherlands.
