Pakistan cricket team arrive in Multan

MULTAN: Pakiatan cricket team have arrived here in Multan after beating Afghanistan 3-0 in the three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan will face Nepal on August 30 here at the Multan Stadium in their opener of the Asia Cup.
The series victory against Afghanistan also catapulted the nation into the summit of the ICC One-day rankings which is a huge achievement for the Babar Azam’s charges.
Babar was also happy with the clean sweep of Afghanistan and credited the victory to the joint effort of the entire team.
He said in a team meeting just before returning to Pakistan from Sri Lanka Babar said that they became the world No1 team because of their hard work and combined effort.
He said that they would make every effort to carry the same momentum into the Asia Cup which Pakistan is hosting from next week.
Pakistan team will practice here today latter in the day.
Nepal have also reached after undergoing a three-day training at Karachi which might have helped them acclamatised with the Pakistan’s conditions.
