Murad is doing well in Oman Volleyball League

OMAN: Pakistan’s top volleyball player Murad Khan has been doing a great job in Oman Volleyball League.

His club Al Kamil W’al Wafi have reached the final of the country’s premier event. Defending champions Al Salam and Al Kamil W’al Wafi will meet in the final on February 22 at the Indoor Hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.

Prior to the final, Al Salam and Al Kamil W’al Wafi will meet during the last league outing on February 19 which will define the group winners and runners-up.

“Until now we are unbeaten. We have played seven matches and have won them all. I am happy with my performance,” Murad told in an interview.

“Oman Ministry Cup has also started. In the end of March our team will go to Bahrain for Arab Club Championship,” Murad said.

In Oman volleyball league structure a club can play only one foreign player. Besides Murad there are players from Iran, Cuba, Brazil and Poland representing other clubs of the Oman’s top league.

The league is being held under strict Covid protocols as crowd is not allowed to witness the matches inside the stadium. Murad has been playing professional leagues for the last few years.
