BANGKOK: Pakistan’s volleyball team captain and the most dangerous spiker Aimal Khan added another feather to his foreign league achievements when his team Nakhon Ratchasima The Mall VC won the Thailand Men’s Volleyball League finals on Saturday.
Aimal, who played a significant role in his outfit success story, was happy with the win. “It’s fantastic,” Aimal told this correspondent from Thailand.
This is the 16th title for the team which is considered as one of the best brigades in Thailand’s volleyball history.
Nakhon Ratchasima remained undefeated in the Super Cup, played among the league’s leading four teams.
Aimal is set to return to Pakistan. “Yes I am returning as here too major shopping malls have been closed due to increasing Covid-19 cases,” Aimal said. Aimal, also a WAPDA player, had moved to Thailand to join Ratchasima after playing league in Qatar. Aimal has been playing constantly professional leagues for the last few years in various countries. With the statistics of the recently concluded League is yet to be released by the organisers Aimal had topped the previous league with the same team last year.
