KARACHI: The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) on Monday announced to create fund to cover medical treatment expenses of those sportspersons who are infected by COVID-19, a pandemic which has wreaked the whole world.The IPC minister Dr Fehmida Mirza on Monday also directed medical and rehabilitation staff of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to be available to help out the coronavirus infected sportspersons. She also directed to upload videos on social media including facebook, twitter and teleservices, relating to prevention against coronavirus and other health issues pertaining to sportspersons.“The COVID-19 is affecting 199 countries and territories around the world including Pakistan. Due to the coronavirus all type of activities including the sporting activities have been brought to standstill. The Federal Government and Provincial Governments are fighting against the coronavirus actively,” the ministry said.“IPC and the PSB are committed towards playing its due role in this critical situation,”it said.It said that Fehmida has emphasized to adhere to the guidelines issued by the government like observance of social-distancing, washing hands, improve immune system.“Keep doing exercise at home because exercise makes the body sound and sound body has more resistance power to fight against the virus,” the press release said, quoting the minister.
