Pakistan cricket team accorded warm welcome in India

LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team was warmly welcomed after landing at Hyderabad airport on Wednesday amid thick security arrangements.
Excited crowds, held back by officers, cheered and shouted the team captain’s name Babar Azam, as the Pakistanis arrived at the airport in the southern city of Hyderabad for the ODI tournament which opens on October 5.
Pakistan will also play two warm-up games against New Zealand on September 29 and against Australia on October 4.
Pakistan will open their journey on October 6 with the game against the Netherlands. It will be followed by their matches against Sri Lanka on October 10, India on October 14, Australia on October 20, Afghanistan on October 23, South Africa on October 27, Bangladesh on October 31 and New Zealand on November 4 and England on November 11.
The event is being held under single round robin with the top four teams qualifying for the semi-finals which will be held on November 15 and 16 with the final to be conducted on November 19.
Every team will play nine matches in the event.
