Rawalakot Hawks enter KPL playoffs with win over Stallions

MUZAFFARABAD: Rawalakot Hawks blasted their way into the playoffs after beating Bagh Stallions by five wickets in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) 2021 here on Wednesday.

Kashif Ali made a 40-ball 54 with five fours and one six while Bismillah Khan’s 19-ball 33 enabled Rawalakot Hawks achieve the 157-run target with ten balls to spare.

Sahibzada Farhan (28) and Ahmed Shehzad (27) also did well with the bat for the winners.

Umaid Asif (2-27) and Mohammad Ilyas (2-37) were the main wicket-takers for Stallions.

Earlier Stallions rode on the batting heroics of Aamer Yamin (69) to post 156-9. Aamer hammered three sixes and ten fours in his glorious 34-ball knock. Shan Masood (20) and Zeeshan Malik (17) were the other main contributors. Zaman Khan claimed 3-18 while Asif Afridi got 2-21.

Yamin was adjudged as man of the match. This was the third win for Rawalakot Hawks from four games. They stand at the summit with seven points with a game to go.
