Pakistan cricket team set to fly to South Africa tomorrow

KARACHI: A 35-member Pakistan’s men cricket team, including 22 players and 13 officials, will fly out for Johannesburg, South Africa, on Friday (tomorrow) to play a three-match ODI and four-match T20 series against Proteas starting with the first one-day at Pretoria on April 2.

All players and officials of the squad have tested negative. A chartered flight has already been managed by the authorities for transporting the elite side to South Africa.

The one-day series will be held from April 2-7 while the T20 series will be conducted from April 10-16. The side will then depart for Harare, Zimbabwe, for three T20s and two Tests, before returning home on May 12.

The three one-day series is part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League.
