FAISALABAD: Rafiullah’s fine all-round show enabled Malik International Cricket Academy (MICA) to crush Lucky Star Cricket Academy by 92 runs in the final of the All Pakistan Ghani Khan T20 Cricket tournament here at the Pak Lions Ground on Saturday.
Raifullah, a potentially glorious all-rounder, hammered 43-ball 44, striking three sixes to guide MICA to 144-7 after opting to bat first. Altaf Hussain made a 20-ball 22 with two fours and one six while Raz Mohammad belted 16-ball 21, smacking two fours and one six. Mohammad Aleem was the pick of the bowlers with 3-22 in three overs.
In response, Lucky Star Cricket Academy were folded for only 52 in the 12th over with Jehangir Bilal (14) and Mohammad Qadri (12) entering double figures. Rafiullah bowled superbly, picking 5-4 in three overs with his off-spin bowling. He was ably backed by medium pacer Raz Mohammad and left-arm spinner Mohammad Irfan with two wickets each.
Rafiullah was adjudged as man of the final for his excellent show. MICA owner Malik Farman Ali also attended the prize distribution ceremony.
