Hasnain’s triple-wicket maiden on Sydney Thunder debut floor Adelaide Strikers

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s speed sensation bewildered the cricket fans with his record-making first over on his Big Bash debut when on Saturday night he took three wickets in his first over to help Sydney Thunder defeat Adelaide Strikers by 28 runs.

He took three wickets in his first over, off the second, third and fifth ball, becoming the first ever bowler in the history of Big Bash to manage a triple-wicket maiden on league debut.

Hasnain finished with 3-20 after Thunders had earlier taken control of the game thanks to Mathew Gilkes’ superb 93 anchoring them to 172-7.

Hasnain got rid of Mathew Short, held in the deep, before trapping Weatherald lbw off his next and then removing Jonathan Wells off the fifth delivery via a sharp catch from Ben Cutting to leave Strikers at 25-3.
