LAHORE: After a non-playing member of the West Indies was tested positive for Covid-19 a couple of days ago the second ODI between the West Indies and Australia was postponed which also affected the Pakistan-West Indies T20 series.

Because of the same issue one T20 has been deducted from the West Indies-Pakistan five-match series which was scheduled to begin on Tuesday. Now the first game will be held on Wednesday while the rest of the schedule is as usual.

Ricky Skerritt, the Cricket West Indies president, said: “Together with the PCB, CWI have examined various scenarios, and we jointly agreed that the best solution in the present circumstances is to cancel the first T20I and play a four-match T20I series starting on Wednesday and keep the rest of the tour schedule unchanged.”
