DERBY: Azhar Ali led from the front with a solid century and Fakhar Zaman played an entertaining knock to enable PCB Greens beat PCB Whites by six wickets on the fourth and final day of their first four-day intra-Pakistan squad four-day game here at Incora Ground on Monday.
Azhar chipped in with 120 retired not out with ten fours while left-handed Fakhar was seen in his perfect elements as he smashed six sixes and ten fours in his 99 to help PCB Greens chase 353-run target in 88.1 overs after losing four wickets in the process.
Asad Shafiq also did well with the willow, scoring his second fifty of the match by cracking 67 retired not out. Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Musa got one wicket each.
After gaining a 68-run first innings lead PCB Whites rode on the fine century from stumper Mohammad Rizwan (100*) to score 284-5 declared to set 353-run target for Greens.
Rizwan, who was batting on 81 on Sunday, smashed 14 fours in his superb hundred during which he faced 159 balls. Shadab Khan chipped with a 39 not out, having smacked four fours. Yasir Shah got 2-52 in 15 overs, finishing with four wickets in the match. Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah and Faheem Ashraf got one wicket each. Naseem finished with six wickets in the match. PCB Whites scored 249 in their first innings. In response PCB Greens posted 181 all out.
