LAHORE: Left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir has refused to accept the domestic contract for the domestic season 2021-2022. Amir, who has already retired from international cricket, has been included in the PCB domestic contract A category.
Amir said that he just knew about the PCB decision to include him in the contract list, saying, since he is not playing international cricket so he will not accept the contract.
He said that the Board should offer contract to any youngster. Meanwhile Kamran Akmal has said that the PCB had contacted him and he had told the Board that he is regularly playing in domestic cricket and deserves A category contract. Kamran said that he has informed the Board that he would not accept any other category. His brother Umar Akmal, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez have also been not offered domestic contracts. The Board says that it had contacted all the players who had agreed to accept event-wise contracts.
