KARACHI: Former international match referee and first-class cricketer Ishtiaq Ahmed has said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is responsible for the HBL PSL-6 debacle.
“All the top bosses of the PCB are responsible for this mismanagement,” Ishtiaq told this correspondent.
“They do not know how to organize such an event under the prevailing circumstances. Strict measures should have been taken while organizing such an event. The PCB bosses are ignorant about organizing such big event. It has defamed the name of the country as well Pakistan cricket,” said Ishtiaq.
“Franchises are equally responsible for not following Covid SOPs.Protocols were not followed. The PCB is accountable for their mismanagement by organizing such an important event in a careless way. I am astonished that all the teams were accommodated in the same hotel,” Ishtiaq said.
He demanded of the Prime Minister Imran Khan to take action against those involved in such a major debacle.
“This is my request to the honorable PM Imran Khan to immediately take an appropriate action and remove bosses involved in this mismanagement because this has caused a great damage to the image of the Pakistan cricket in the entire world,” he said.
